Gmail users: try creating filters to allow messages from
kathy at fred.net, kbilton at gmail.com and bsw at botsoc.org come directly to
your inbox.  To do this left click on the Search Options icon on the
right side of the Search in Mail box at the top of one's Gmail (at
least on
the computer - not sure how it might work on a phone), putting the address
in the From box, clicking on Create Filter, and then checking Never Send it
to Spam.
I am hoping this may help messages to get through.

The invasive aquatic plant, water chestnut (two-horned Trapa) is now
in Maryland and southern Virginia.
