Tuesday, October 19 - at 9am EDT (2pm BST) Linnean Lens: Peter Collinson's
Commonplace Books

A cloth merchant by trade, Peter Collinson (1694-1768) had an immense
passion for the natural world and scientific inquiry. The Society holds
two boxes of unbound pages from Peter Collinson’s commonplace books.
Assistant Archivist Luke Thorne will delve into the notebooks to reveal
the letters, notes, observations, biographical accounts, diary entries and
scientific papers that bring Collinson and his world to life.
