[BSW] Next BSW meeting, Tuesday, October 1

The next meeting is as early as it can be, namely on the 1st of next 
month. (The same date in 1890 saw the establishment of Yosemite National 
Park.)

The speaker will be Dr. Pedro Acevedo, Research Botanist and Curator of 
Botany (Sapindaceae and Caribbean plants) at the Smithsonian Institution's 
National Museum of Natural History.

His topic: The Liana Syndrome and Other Entanglements

Date and time: 7pm on Tuesday, October 1st
Location: VZ Conference Room (WG 33)
Ground Floor of the West Wing, National Museum of Natural History,
Smithsonian Institution, 10th St. and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, 
DC.

Pre-meeting dinner: 5:30 P.M. at the Elephant & Castle Pub and Restaurant, 
1201 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington. Phone 202-347-7707. The 
restaurant is diagonally across from the Old Post Office Pavilion at 12th 
and Pennsylvania, a few blocks from the Museum, with Federal Triangle the 
nearest Metro station, and Metro Center also nearby.
All are welcome to attend. There will be refreshments before and after the 
presentations.
