Attention, Tree Stewards!
Did you know that the Capitol grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, and that
65 of the trees from the original planting remain today? Come enjoy the majestic trees
of the Capitol, and learn about their history from John Noelle, City of Alexandria
Arborist. This is a continuing education event that you will not want to miss!

Time: 9:00 am to noon
Meeting Place: 2nd St. SE and Constitution Ave.SE, by the Library of Congress. (NOTE
this is where SE and NE are within a block of each other. Check street signs
carefully)
Parking is difficult with many security closures. Arriving by metro highly
recommended.
Orange Capitol South Metro is on 1st St. SE. Walk north to Constitution Ave SE, go one
block right. Look for TS shirts
Red Union Station, exit onto 1st St.NE, walk south 5 blocks to Constitution Ave. SE, go
one block right. Look for TS shirts.
