Via Alan Whittemore:

Dear Kathy,
Could you forward this to BSW?  It's a good opportunity to show the
University that there is interest in the Herbarium in the local scientific
community.

This week, the Norton-Brown Herbarium is featured!  The N-B Herbarium is
part of our Department, and Dr. Tanjua Schuster is one of our new faculty
members.

This would be a great opportunity to learn more about our Department, meet
Dr. Schuster, and show your support.

Where         : Meet at the Research Greenhouse entrance

The Norton-Brown Herbarium on our campus was established in 1901, and is one
of the oldest in the country. An herbarium is both a collection of preserved
plant specimens, and the scientific institute that stores and researches the
specimens. The specimens in an herbarium are used for reference and
research. Come take a guided tour with herbarium curator Dr. Tanja Schuster
to see this amazing and historic collection, and learn about the methods
used to document and preserve our plant heritage.
