Our next meeting (hybrid) will be on Tuesday, March 5 at 7pm with Zoom
"doors" opening by 6:45. Those planning to attend in person should enter
the museum using the Constitution Avenue entrance and wait to be escorted
up to VZ Conference Room (WG 33). Please arrive no later than 6:45.  Mary
McKenna will be there to greet you and then contact Rob Soreng so that he
can arrange for someone from the Smithsonian to escort you upstairs. Mary
is planning to get to the lobby at 6pm.

The speaker will be Melissa McCormick, Senior Scientist, SI Environmental
Research Center.

Spring Field Trips

Four Saturday trips are planned.  There will be two to Bear Island near
Great Falls on March 30 and April 13; and on April 6, a trip to Turkey Run.
Finally, and further afield, a trip to Ferry Hill near Sharpsburg on April
20. All trips are rain or shine. Trip information can be found here:

Note: There is a possibility I will need to change th date for the Ferry
Hill trip from Saturday,  April 20 to Sunday, April 21 becuase of an
upcoming family funeral.
